Tonic App offers a mobile platform and AI-powered virtual assistant that aggregates clinical resources clinicians need to diagnose and treat patients. The app is already used by more than 140,000 medical doctors. The company is led by CEO Daniela Seixas and is based in Porto, Portugal. Tonic App currently operates in Portugal, Spain, Italy and France and plans to expand into the UK and Germany over the next 24 months. In Q2 2024 the company will launch Tonic Scribe, a Generative AI system for automated transcription and summarisation of clinical notes. The company intends to use new funding to expand operations and its business reach across Europe. Tonic App is a digital healthcare tool that consolidates the resources doctors need for day-to-day diagnosis and treatment into a mobile platform. Founded in 2016 and based in Porto, the company has launched its app and received CE certification as a medical device. It has acquired over one third of the doctors in Portugal and counts clients such as Medtronic, Novartis, IQVIA and Randstad. Daniela Seixas, co-founder and CEO and herself a physician, leads the company. With the new capital, Tonic App plans rapid geographic expansion into France, Spain and the United Kingdom to grow its professional user base across Europe.
