United Solar operates a 100,000-ton-per-year polysilicon manufacturing facility in Oman, equivalent to about 40 GW of module nameplate capacity once fully ramped. Commercial operations began in January 2026 and the plant is expected to fully ramp up by the end of 2026. The company raised nearly US$1.6 billion from global investors to complete funding for the facility, with the IFC providing equity and arranging significant debt financing. United Solar positions itself as an FEOC-compliant, fully traceable polysilicon supplier for tier-one manufacturers. The company is expanding its commercial presence, including appointing a director of the Americas as it targets growth in the U.S. market amid constrained domestic polysilicon supply. Financially, its recent funding mix includes equity and multiple debt tranches arranged or financed by the IFC and other global investors.
