Divirod offers the Flood Early Warning and Monitoring Solution that continuously monitors on-site locations 24/7 via a network of proprietary sensors. The platform sends instant alerts via email and text when floods are impending and measures water with millimeter precision to address geographic data gaps and augment existing sparse environmental monitoring systems. Its solution is used across verticals including real estate, insurance, and state and local governments. Led by founder and CEO Javier Marti and based in Boulder, CO, Divirod recently closed a $3.6M bridge funding round. The company intends to use the funds to bolster the team, consolidate product definition, strengthen sales and marketing, and build AI-driven analytics for water risk prediction. Divirod is a water solutions and climate-tech startup based in Boulder, CO. The company operates a global sensor network that leverages satellite input to generate analytics. Those analytics provide real-time information to decision makers, emergency services personnel, and insurers. The insights are intended to help mitigate loss of life and the high costs inflicted by catastrophes. TDK Ventures, a subsidiary of TDK Corporation, has invested in Divirod. Divirod develops a GPS-reflection sensor and a cloud analytics platform that measures and maps surface water. The company loans its hardware to clients such as engineering firms and municipal water-management consultants and sells analyzed data via a cloud-based platform. Use cases include measuring snow on large building roofs to warn of collapse risk and analyzing tidal and wave activity to help coastal communities plan flood infrastructure. Founders Javier Marti (CEO) and Adam Wilson (head of product) formed the company in 2019 and have built a seven-person team. Divirod recently raised $1 million and plans to use the capital to improve hardware and increase marketing. The company says it is done raising money for now.
