- Space
Participated · Seed · Aug 2026
Space develops an AI-native filesystem that sits above the operating system to let applications, people, and agents access cloud-hosted files as if they were local without full-file downloads or duplicated copies. Files appear in native file browsers and open in existing applications while Space streams only the exact byte ranges required in real time. The company launched a prototype in November 2025 and is currently in private beta with roughly 100 users and teams and an organic audience of over 80,000. Founders Matthew Ao, Arihant Bapna, and Jason Zhao built the product from operational pain points encountered while working with terabytes of media. After raising a $2.4M pre-seed led by a16z Speedrun, Space plans to focus initial go-to-market efforts on video, marketing, and AEC industries and then expand into AI training-data infrastructure, media and entertainment, and other data-intensive workflows.

- Shakudo
Participated · Series A · Feb 2026
Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Toronto, Shakudo sells software that lets companies integrate leading AI models into their existing tech stacks without the need for large DevOps teams. Enterprises in finance, healthcare, aerospace, energy, and retail—including Loblaw Digital—use Shakudo to cut AI development cycles from months to days. The 35-person company recently opened offices in Silicon Valley and Bangalore and launched an AI agent called Kaji, described as a virtual senior engineer that is both technically deep and business-minded. Management reports that revenue has grown seven-fold since mid-2023 and now sits "in the ballpark of a Series B company," while the business remains capital-efficient with a clear path to profitability. Fresh capital will fund additional computing capacity and selective engineering hires as Shakudo positions itself to raise a larger Series B round within the next one to two years.
- Tempo
Participated · Seed · Oct 2025
Tempo Labs, founded by Kevin Michael and Peter Gokhshteyn, offers an AI-powered design-engineering platform that merges the ease of traditional design software with the precision of code editors for React. By integrating directly with a team’s production codebase, the product allows non-engineers to create and modify pixel-perfect, production-ready applications through a visual interface. The tool is geared toward founders, product managers, and designers, giving them granular control over every UI element while ensuring code quality. Headquartered in Toronto, the company positions itself at the intersection of design and developer collaboration, aiming to streamline the handoff between design and engineering. With its recent capital infusion, Tempo plans to accelerate hiring within its engineering team and advance product development. No user, revenue, or other operating metrics were disclosed in the article.
