Third Financial provides investment firms with software, custodial and outsourcing services, combining its Tercero integrated CRM and portfolio management system with a client-focused outsourcing and custodial operation. The platform is used by many of the UK’s leading wealth managers, IFA networks, family offices and disruptive fintech firms. Its technology enables clients to launch a white‑label direct‑to‑consumer (D2C) investment platform or to embed services within their own client‑facing apps via a comprehensive set of APIs. The company is led by Group CEO Ian Partington. Financially, Third Financial has received multiple rounds of investment to support expansion and infrastructure, most recently a £7m majority investment. Of that £7m, £1.5m will be injected onto the balance sheet. The firm says the next phase of growth will focus on accelerating platform growth while meeting evolving market demands.

The company has been operating since 2002 and is headquartered in Athens. Omilia reports annual recurring revenue of $60 million and says it has strong unit economics for itself and its customers. Its client roster includes Capital One, Discover, RBC, DWP, PSEG and quick-service restaurant customers such as Taco Bell, with deployments across more than 1,000 outlets. The company currently has around 500 employees and expects to grow to about 600 by year end. Omilia plans to expand its U.S. presence and scale its go-to-market organization following the recent fundraising.

Softomotive was an early pioneer in RPA with products including WinAutomation and the enterprise ProcessRobot platform, covering both attended and unattended automation across desktop and server deployments. Its platform integrates best-of-breed third-party AI tools and is trusted by more than 7,000 companies globally. The company recently relocated to London and has selected the city as its new home base. Softomotive plans to expand its global footprint and accelerate development of its product roadmap, with special emphasis on desktop automation and RPA for medium-sized enterprises. The business positions RPA as a keystone of digitisation, helping organisations automate repetitive tasks and bridge legacy systems to improve performance. The company says the new capital will support this next phase of global growth and product development.

StarLeaf sells cloud-based video and conferencing services via its StarLeaf OpenCloud global video communications network. The platform is fully owned and operated with eight points of presence across North America, Europe, Asia and Australasia, offering AES-128 encryption, redundancy, resilient codecs, dynamic bandwidth management and a single dashboard management portal. StarLeaf emphasizes interoperability with third-party meeting technologies and user-friendly endpoint features such as screen sharing, call transfer, participant additions and a centrally managed address book. The company began selling cloud services in 2013 and says usage is doubling year-over-year, reporting more than 100 million annual call minutes and over 1,000 customers across 50 countries. Customers include Travelex, Bose and Dr Martens, and enterprise signups with 1,000+ employee customers grew from 65 in 2015 to 150 in 2016. The new funding will be used to support growth—including stepping up Asia Pacific activity—and the company intends to double its 130-strong headcount within 18 months.

MPP Global provides an eCommerce digital monetization platform, eSuite, for clients in the media, video, sport and retail sectors. eSuite integrates identity management, customer relationship management and automated subscription billing to convert and retain paid users and drive revenue from digital and physical products. The company counts major global media companies among its clients, including Sky, News UK, Daily Mail Group, L’Equipe and McClatchy. In April 2017 MPP Global completed a £12m ($15M) Series B financing. The company intends to use the funds to expand into new geographic markets and further evolve its eSuite platform. In preparation for the next phase of development, former Mimecast COO Keith Wallington joined MPP Global as Chairman. The business is led by CEO and co-founder Paul Johnson.
