  • Duppla

    Participated · Equity · Aug 2026

Founded in 2020, Duppla offers a 'compra mientras arriendas' (rent-while-you-pay) model that lets clients make an initial down payment (at least 15%) and rent the property while Duppla finances the remainder over an initial five-year period. The model is designed to help workers with variable incomes, contractors and informal workers build payment history and accumulate capital to qualify for traditional mortgages. Duppla operates mainly in Bogotá and Medellín and has accompanied more than 300 families since launch, mobilizing over 10,000 million Colombian pesos in transactions as of 2025. The company aims to reach 1,500 families by 2027. In July 2026 it raised US$60 million in a mixed debt and equity round to expand its financing capacity and geographic coverage. Duppla positions itself as a bridge between institutional capital and households excluded from formal mortgage markets.

  • Mercadoni

    Led · Series A · Jun 2017

Mercadoni operates a grocery delivery app and service across Colombia, Argentina and Mexico, promising deliveries in under one hour. The platform relies on more than 3,000 personal shoppers and is deeply integrated with over 100 grocery retail partners, including Cencosud, Makro and Walmart. Mercadoni reports 250,000 recurrent users and says it is operationally profitable in the markets where it operates. The company focused early on "micro‑optimising" its algorithms, logistics processes, and app interfaces to improve unit economics. The Colombian grocery market is cited as roughly $40 billion, concentrated in densely populated cities where home delivery is valued. Mercadoni frames its mission as returning time to consumers who otherwise spend hours a week buying groceries in congested, often unsafe urban environments. Mercadoni is an on-demand platform that enables purchases from stores and supermarkets with deliveries in under one hour across Mexico and Colombia. The service aggregates major retail chains on its web, iOS, and Android apps and uses a network of delivery "pilots" to fulfill orders. Founded in early 2015 by Antonio Nunes and Pedro Freire, Mercadoni had more than 50 partner stores and had created 250 jobs with plans to add another 500 in the following three months. In its first months of operation the company delivered over 500,000 products and was running at a sales run rate of $4 million. The company aims to consolidate its leadership in Mexico and Colombia, expand to new cities, and continue improving the customer experience. The founders previously co-founded Zalora and Linio LATAM.
