Baofeng Mojing is a mobile-focused virtual reality company and a partially held subsidiary of Baofeng Technology, founded in January 2015. Its core product is the Baofeng Mojing VR device; the company says it was the first globally to mass-produce VR hardware and had shipped over 500,000 units by December 2015. After an earlier April 2015 $10M first round, Mojing has focused on expanding the VR value chain—adding content and channel partnerships—and building up daily active and new-user metrics. It has developed several VR games (including titles such as JiLe WangGuo, Baofeng Action, and Killing Space), secured Chinese VR rights to Hollywood and domestic films, and produced VR live broadcasts for major movie events. The company reports growing daily active-user counts and peak single-day activity, and remains described as the domestic VR leader following this financing.
