  • Holosolis

    Participated · Equity · Nov 2025

Founded in 2022, HoloSolis develops and manufactures low-carbon photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules with the goal of reshoring solar production to Europe. The company plans to build a gigafactory in Sarreguemines-Hambach that will reach 5 GW of annual production capacity by 2030, enough to power one million European homes. Once operational, the facility is expected to create roughly 2,000 direct jobs and provide a sustainable, competitively priced alternative to imported PV panels. HoloSolis reports more than 20 GW of customer letters of intent, underscoring strong market demand for European-made panels. The factory will deploy TOPCon technology and contribute to the EU’s target of having 40 % of installed PV capacity manufactured within Europe. To date, the company has secured over €220 million in funding to finalize factory design, recruit talent, and establish its supply chain. HoloSolis is backed by industrial partners and energy-transition investors such as InnoEnergy, Armor Group, IDEC, TSE, Heraeus, Calés Technologie, and Forming.

The company plans to expand operations and development efforts and to strengthen its overseas rollout with a focus on North and South America, Australia, and Africa. To support these plans it raised ¥5.3 billion in Series C funding. The article states the company has approximately 17,200 employees in 40 countries and a diverse business portfolio including metals and recycling, healthcare, semiconductors and electronics, and industrials.
