  MaxQ Medical is developing a fully automated, urethra-preserving transurethral ultrasound imaging and targeted therapy platform that combines advanced imaging with tissue-selective therapy in a single outpatient procedure. The system is intended to give urologists full visibility inside the prostate and enable treatment of visualized disease while minimizing urethral injury, swelling, bleeding, and sexual side effects. The company's initial indication is benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH), with planned expansion into focal therapy for prostate cancer and broader prostate diagnostics including biopsy and tumor mapping. MaxQ is the first spinout from Orchard Ultrasound Innovation and is based in Sunnyvale, California. The MaxQ System is investigational and not currently available for commercial use in the United States. The company recently raised $31.5 million in a Series A to grow its team and advance its clinical program.
