- Oriana
Led · Seed · Feb 2021
Oriana offers a low-code development platform composed of a Studio for defining complex workflows and screens, an Engine for traditional coding, and prebuilt "Blocks" such as calendars, timelines, and customer-data modules. The product targets large enterprise and government core applications including contact-center and enterprise service management systems, procurement, and complex document and process management. Oriana’s platform is already used to power Hungary’s largest Government Hotline (the 1818 number), which handles millions of calls per year. The company emphasizes rapid development of Enterprise Service Management applications and provides application templates to shorten project delivery times. Management is noted to have 20+ years of experience in their respective fields. Financially, Oriana recently closed a second seed investment of €484,000 from Hiventures and is planning a Series A round for its next growth stage. Oriana International offers a low-code platform built from reusable blocks to create 100% customizable business software without additional development. Its product evolved from the Effector CRM into a broader B2B backend focus supporting HR, purchasing, customer service, contact centers, field operations and document management. The company sells primarily through two partner types—business/IT consultants and system integrators—and provides an OEM package, training, templates, and go-to-market support so partners can license and commercialize their own IP. Oriana uses a pay-as-you-go pricing model to allow smaller companies to adopt the platform and also offers services to help partners set pricing and market strategy. Founded in 2002 in Budapest, Oriana split into two entities in December 2018, with Oriana International holding the IP; Oriana International currently has 15 employees while the Hungarian delivery entity operates ~50 staff. The company is pursuing global expansion from Budapest, has Microsoft partner program ties, and expects strong license-side growth.
