Dayta AI, founded in 2018 and based in Hong Kong, provides Retail Analytics SaaS leveraging existing cameras, cloud computing, machine learning, and big data to generate behavioral insights. Its flagship product, Cyclops, is used across retail stores, shopping malls, supermarkets, airport lounges, and restaurants and serves clients in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region. The company recently released Cyclops v4, which improved algorithm quantization, expanded quality datasets, and enhanced infrastructure scalability to boost model performance and stability. Dayta positions its product to help brick-and-mortar retailers optimize sales, traffic, and operations through computer vision and business intelligence. The company plans to use new funding to further optimize cloud infrastructure, develop new AI models, and fuel overseas expansion. Dayta AI offers Cyclops, a cloud-based SaaS smart retail solution that connects to RTSP-compatible and IP cameras to collect and analyze in-store video. Cyclops analyzes thousands of videos daily to provide traffic, behavioral, demographic, KPI, heatmap and predictive analytics. The platform supports over 95% of cameras, is plug-and-play and deployable remotely so retailers can use existing hardware without upfront replacement costs. Cyclops emphasizes privacy by not storing faceprints and operating in compliance with GDPR while producing executive reports and actionable insights across marketing, operations, strategy and leasing. The underlying proprietary AI algorithm is trained on retail data to improve accuracy. Dayta AI recently raised funding to accelerate research & development and optimize overseas expansion.
