Protera uses a proprietary deep learning algorithm, madi™, to screen billions of amino-acid combinations and predict functional proteins and enzymes with high speed and accuracy. The company is developing clean-label, animal-free food ingredients such as protera guard™, a protein designed to extend shelf-life and replace widely used chemical ingredients. Protera is scaling up its manufacturing process and validating its protein-based ingredients with several multinational companies as it prepares to deploy products to market.
