  Nanosafe develops antimicrobial active copper technology for polymers, textiles, and coatings, offering broad-spectrum activity against bacteria, viruses, algae and fungi. Its formulations use active copper, positioned as an exceptionally safe micronutrient suitable for food- and water-contact applications and as an alternative to silver and drug-based antimicrobials. The company has commercial traction with copper-infused polymer granules sold to water tank manufacturers including Astral Tanks, P4 Water Tanks, and Supreme Water Tanks. Nanosafe plans to expand its technology across five market segments—water, textiles, automotive, construction, and foam—and will use the recent seed funding to grow operations and enter new markets. The startup secured INR 3.13 Crores in a maiden seed round led by IAN Group and IIM Lucknow Enterprise Incubation Centre; notable investors include Uday Chatterjee, Sandhya Vasudevan, Tejinderpal Singh Miglani, and Romesh Sobti. Led by CEO Dr. Anasuya Roy and rooted in research from IIT Delhi, Nanosafe targets sizable markets for antimicrobial coatings, textiles, and plastics collectively valued at roughly $64 billion, with the powder coating segment forecast to grow at a 12.5% CAGR.
