  Quarkitech develops a software library that applies tensor networks to compress high-volume sensor data generated by radar, LiDAR, hyperspectral imagers and electro-optical sensors at the point of capture. In laboratory testing the company reported a 26x reduction in data volume while retaining 98% of mission-critical information on drone-captured images. Its library is designed to run on existing onboard computing infrastructure and can be tuned for different sensor streams. Quarkitech is validating its laboratory results under operational conditions involving moving platforms, heat, vibration, limited onboard power and intermittent connectivity. The company is in discussions with private defence and space operators for pilot deployments and plans a limited number of integrations with platform manufacturers, operators and research institutions in the coming year. The recent pre-seed funding will be used to further develop the core compression algorithm library and advance deployments on defence and space platforms.
