- Grounded Packaging
Participated · Series A · Jun 2021
Grounded Packaging is an end-to-end packaging specialist that works with sustainable and innovative materials to design and deliver circular packaging solutions. Founded in 2019, the company has captured thousands of data points across materials and supply chains to calculate the true environmental impact of packaging options. Its data-led model enables Grounded to identify the best packaging solutions based on business needs and end-of-life treatment, spanning reusable, recyclable, recycled-material, and compostable options. The company's mission is to help businesses of all sizes transition away from virgin plastics toward more circular models. Grounded has secured a $5 million Series A impact investment to support growth. The funding will be used to expand its technology and data team, build supply-chain capabilities, and further automate services tailored to smaller businesses.
- Melon Health
Participated · Series B · Nov 2018
Melon Health provides a cloud-based mobile platform that enables insurers, healthcare providers and employers to prescribe curated digital health solutions and collect actionable data to deliver personalised, value-based care. The platform integrates devices, wearables, content and social engagement and combines health coaching, peer support, remote monitoring and behaviour-change interventions. Melon reports strong clinical outcomes—claiming prevention of progression for over 60% of patients on its pre-diabetes program—and cites net healthcare cost savings of $3,500 per person (NZ Treasury Tool) and figures up to $7,500 saved per patient per year and cost reductions “up to and over 75%.” Customers include Oscar Health, Georgia Physicians Accountable Care and Australia’s nib, alongside New Zealand primary health organisations and district health boards. The company was incorporated in the USA in 2013, has a US subsidiary, and has been selected as a Mayo Clinic innovation partner and won a US National Award for Social Innovation using Mobile Technology. Melon plans to use new funding to accelerate US expansion and further invest in its proprietary technology platform.
