SolarSaver develops, finances and operates small-scale distributed solar and battery installations for businesses in Southern Africa. The company supplies electricity through power purchase agreements and rent-to-own contracts that eliminate upfront capital requirements for customers, allowing SMEs to secure reliable power and stabilize energy costs. SolarSaver currently manages more than 700 installations with a combined capacity of roughly 140 MW across South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia. Its zero-capex model helps firms replace expensive diesel generators and mitigate the effects of chronic grid instability in the region. With new funding in hand, the company plans to accelerate deployment of additional rooftop and on-site systems, further easing pressure on national grids. Investor interest highlights growing demand for scalable, decentralized clean-energy solutions that bolster economic resilience while advancing climate goals.
