  • Atomic

    Participated · Equity · Aug 2025

Founded in 2020 by Emma Marriott, Marco Alban-Hidalgo, and David Dindi, Atomic delivers an investing-as-a-service platform that enables fintechs, banks, insurers, and consumer brands to embed investing and wealth-management products directly into their own offerings. Its API and brokerage infrastructure support fractional investing, direct indexing, and global trading, giving partners rapid, compliant market access without building their own brokerages. The technology already powers investing experiences for companies such as NerdWallet, Yieldstreet, and Bluevine. Atomic’s mission is to make wealth-building accessible to every human being. In August 2025 the company secured $30 million in new growth capital, bringing additional resources to accelerate expansion. Management plans to use the proceeds to widen regulatory coverage, broaden the product suite, and deepen global partnerships. Existing investors QED Investors, Anthemis, and Y Combinator returned for this round, underscoring continued confidence in the firm’s trajectory.

  • Townsquared

    Led · Series B · Aug 2016

Townsquared is an online community and mobile app that lets neighborhood small businesses connect and share resources. The platform enables businesses to collaborate on crime and safety issues, exchange neighborhood updates, form partnerships, co-sponsor events, and organize around government initiatives. The community is currently live in San Francisco, Oakland, New York and Seattle and will officially launch in Portland in September. The company plans to expand into 5–10 additional cities, including Boston, Chicago, Austin, D.C., Los Angeles and Miami. Co-founded in late 2013 by Rohit Prakash and Nipul Patel, the company recently appointed Andy Bryson as VP of Product. The platform features a live feed, topic channels, member listings, and a resources section covering permits, licensing, and funding. Founders Rohit Prakash and Nipul Patel built the product from interviews with small-business owners; Prakash has an MD/PhD background and family ties to small business. The company launched an iOS app and has made the product available in New York City and San Francisco, with plans to expand nationwide. Townsquared has raised funding to support growth and product rollout, and investors include Floodgate and August Capital.
