    amcure GmbH is a biopharmaceutical company and 2012 spin-off from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology developing peptide-based compounds for highly metastatic epithelial cancers. Its lead product, AMC303, is a CD44v6-targeting therapeutic designed to block signaling through VEGF/VEGFR-2, HGF/c-Met and MSP/RON pathways. AMC303 has shown strong effects in in vitro and in vivo assays and has entered a Phase I/Ib clinical trial, with the first patient treated at the end of October. The company plans to use new funding to continue and accelerate clinical development of AMC303. amcure is sponsored by a grant from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and aims to provide a novel mechanism for treating advanced, metastatic solid tumors. The company is based in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen, Germany.
