Led · Equity · Oct 2023
Manico develops and sells an integrated software‑hardware platform designed to foster collaborative learning in educational institutions and non-school environments such as museums, hospitals, hotels, restaurants and elderly homes. The company reported strong commercial traction, citing 225% annual revenue growth and an estimated 300% increase in the value of its validated pipeline over the last twelve months. Manico says it was profitable for 2023 and is entering its busiest sales period of the year. To meet escalating demand and maintain velocity, the company closed a bridge financing. The fundraise coincides with a project to prepare the company for a public market environment and has increased institutional attention. Manico is a portfolio company of Katalysen Ventures. Manico develops combined hardware and proprietary touch‑screen software that enables collaboration between multiple users simultaneously. The company serves a wide range of clients, including schools, elderly homes, museums, hospitals, hotels, shopping malls, and restaurants. Manico has pivoted from being primarily a hardware provider to positioning itself as an edtech leader with a new business model focused on recurring revenue from proprietary software. The business reported strong recent growth, with sales increasing by 300% in Q1 2023 versus Q1 2022. Manico is preparing for an upcoming IPO and has entered a venture development agreement to establish appropriate company infrastructure for financial reporting, compliance, and regulation.
