  • Leviathan Dynamics

    Led · Equity · Mar 2026

Leviathan Dynamics designs compact, high-speed centrifugal compressors embedded in modular systems that enable low-pressure water boiling and heat recovery for industrial cooling and wastewater concentration. Its patented compressors (one to two wheels, ~40 cm, 15–20 kg) operate under vacuum with steam and are integrated into chillers, heat pumps and an evapo-concentrator currently commercialized and at TRL 7. The evapo-concentrator can recover up to 80% of industrial effluent water and can reduce effluent volumes by up to fivefold, while the systems claim roughly 30% lower energy consumption versus conventional solutions. The company operates a 1,000 m2 production unit in La Courneuve and had a team of 18 employees at the time of reporting. Leviathan plans to scale manufacturing to produce 600 machines by 2030, expand its workforce to 80–100 people, and develop higher-capacity 100 kW compressors to serve larger surfaces and data-center use cases. Its technology has been tested with clients in pharma, chemicals and other industries where gentle low-temperature processing preserves biologicals and enables valorization of concentrated residues.

  • Arkeon Energy Systems

    Participated · Equity · Oct 2025

Arkéon Energy is a Bidart-based cleantech startup that has created a “thésauthermie” system combining heat-pump technology with on-board thermal storage to cut carbon emissions from building heating. The device stores heat when power is cheapest or renewable and releases it on demand, positioning itself as an alternative to conventional heat pumps. Founded by Théo Granger and Colin Léti, the company has already installed several units in real-world settings. Target customers include both new construction projects and retrofit markets seeking lower energy bills and emissions. With new funds, Arkéon Energy aims to scale from pilot production to full industrial manufacturing of its equipment. The financing will also support continued R&D and commercial expansion. The article did not disclose revenue, user numbers, or other operating metrics.

  • Seaturns

    Participated · Equity · Sep 2025

Seaturns develops wave-energy (houlomotrice) technology that can produce green electricity or desalinated water. The Bordeaux-based startup was founded in 2015. Its technology was tested for 18 months in real conditions at Ifremer in Brest. The company has completed construction of a full-scale floater (over 15 meters, more than 40 tonnes) in Saint-Nazaire, with a planned launch at the end of the summer. Following testing, Seaturns says it is ready to begin industrialization and accelerate international commercialization. The company completed a €2.45 million fundraising this summer.
