DARAG is a specialist acquirer of legacy (run-off) insurance portfolios, established as a market leader in Europe. The company has been expanding strategically in the European run-off market and is developing a platform to build out U.S. operations. To support global growth and its U.S. expansion plans, DARAG secured a major equity commitment. The funding round is intended to accelerate the company’s build-out and expansion beyond Europe. DARAG is owned by Keyhaven Capital Partners and recently strengthened its management team with the appointment of Tom Booth as Group CEO effective 23 July 2018. The transaction was advised by Macquarie Capital (Europe) and was expected to complete toward the end of 2018.
