- Immitra Bio
Participated · Seed · Jul 2026
Immitra Bio is developing scalable, one-time curative in-vivo gene editing therapies built around a mutation-agnostic editing approach and a digital target discovery platform. Its lead candidate, IB-003, is being developed as a potential one-time curative in-vivo gene editing treatment for an inherited anemia. The company's approach is designed to avoid complex ex-vivo cell manipulation, patient conditioning, and stem cell transplantation, aiming to enable off-the-shelf formulations that treat all patients within a given disease regardless of underlying mutation. Immitra Bio says its platform could generate dozens of differentiated therapeutic assets more quickly than highly personalized approaches. The recent CHF 2.4 million pre-seed financing will primarily fund preclinical proof-of-concept work for IB-003 and support additional discovery and validation across the pipeline and platform refinement. The company highlights scalability and commercial viability as core objectives for its technology.
- RTDT Laboratories
Participated · Seed · Jul 2026
RTDT Laboratories designs ultra-thin, lightweight wireless sensor patches that integrate microelectronic sensors and proprietary algorithms to capture real-time aerodynamic and structural data from wind turbine blades. The patches measure parameters such as aerodynamic pressure, acceleration, vibration, mechanical load and temperature, synchronize timestamps, and transmit data wirelessly to a gateway and then to the cloud to build a digital twin of the blade. Their software suite performs calibration, local and global analyses (including blade kinematics and pressure coefficients), visual analyses and decision recommendations for control, design optimization and maintenance. The patches attach with removable tape without drilling, are offered in two sizes (400×160×4 mm and 160×160×4 mm), and include photovoltaic cells and intelligent battery management for ultra-low-power operation. RTDT was founded in 2022 as an ETH Zurich spin-off by Imad Abdallah, Aris Mukherjee and Konstantinos Tatsis and is pursuing pilot implementations and commercial deployments in the wind-energy sector with a target for large-scale rollout by early 2027.
- Carewell
Participated · Seed · Jul 2026
Carewell operates a multi-platform software solution combining an internal staff-pool management module (Carewell Pool) and access to an external pool of qualified professionals (Carewell Work). Its platform uses an intelligent matching algorithm to let HR managers identify suitable candidates first from internal staff and then from external professionals. The service has been adopted by more than 50 healthcare institutions across Switzerland and targets a short-term healthcare recruitment market estimated at CHF 800 million nationally. The company highlights a projected shortage of 40,000 healthcare professionals by 2040 as part of the market need it addresses. Carewell has received non-dilutive support and awards including the PERL 2025 Trophy, CHF 150,000 from Venture Kick and a CHF 200,000 Digital Growth loan from the FIT. Following the CHF 1.5 million round led by StartAngels Network, the company plans to accelerate rollout and expand commercially and technologically, including a pilot in German-speaking Switzerland.
- Cosaic (Cultivated Biosciences)
Participated · Seed · Apr 2026
Cosaic develops a new category of food ingredients using yeast fermentation to provide creaminess, stability and functional performance in one ingredient, aiming to reduce reliance on multiple components and additives. The company positions its platform to help food and beverage manufacturers address formulation trade-offs between clean label, sensory performance, and cost. Cosaic employs 15 people and is in a pre-Series A stage, preparing for U.S. market entry next year. Its recent partnership with Ingredion and strategic investment from dsm-firmenich Ventures serve as commercial and strategic validation. The startup plans to use recent funding to complete regulatory work, scale production, and run industrial trials with large clients as it moves toward launch readiness.
- SolidWatts
Participated · Seed · Mar 2026
SolidWatts builds a solid-state RF platform that delivers high-power dielectric heating for industrial processes, reportedly converting over 80% of electrical input into usable heating power. The technology generates electromagnetic waves to heat materials internally, reducing energy losses to surrounding infrastructure and improving overall process efficiency while aiming to limit maintenance and support high uptime. Originating from high-power RF applications used in scientific research (including experience at CERN), the company was founded in 2022 and is based in Pully. SolidWatts targets energy-intensive sectors such as chemical and pharmaceutical production, food processing, carbon capture and advanced recycling. Financially, the company completed an €850k pre-Seed in January 2025 and has now closed a €1.9 million Seed round to scale its platform and run pilot projects. The company projects that electrifying even a small share of industrial heating could yield significant emissions reductions, estimating that replacing 1% of these processes with its technology could cut about 36 million tonnes of CO2 annually.
