The patented, single-use sterile device is ergonomically designed to provide fast, adjustable and safe retraction, helping clinicians deliver the baby, repair tissue, and identify bleeds. The company positions SteriCISION to reduce surgical complications and lower healthcare costs for a procedure performed over 30 million times annually. Proceeds from the recent financing will fund regulatory clearance efforts, including steps toward FDA clearance, and support early commercialization. Nua Surgical plans to expand its team and establish manufacturing in Ireland as part of its next development phase. The company has backing from public and private investors and is moving from product development toward market entry.
