Jack & Bry produces a range of jackfruit meat alternatives, including burgers, mince, sausages and a pepperoni pizza ingredient, using a proprietary manufacturing process. The company intends to use the seed funding to further product innovation and develop more jackfruit products that closely mimic the texture of meat. • HubBox

    Participated · Series A · Jan 2018

Founded in 2015, HubBox has built a platform that integrates with more than 1,000 retail systems and connects to major courier networks worldwide, enabling shoppers to choose out-of-home (OOH) pickup locations during checkout. The company already supports thousands of retailers, counting Gymshark, Selfridges, Macy’s, Gap and Birkenstock among its users. HubBox collaborates closely with couriers such as UPS, DPD, Royal Mail, DHL, Asendia and PostNord; its Funded License Program lets these couriers subsidize retailer access to HubBox’s software, accelerating adoption. With the global OOH delivery market expected to grow from $29 billion in 2024 to $54 billion by 2030—while retailer adoption remains below one percent—HubBox is positioning itself as an early leader. The fresh capital will fund international expansion across the UK, Europe, Japan and the United States, while also scaling the team and enhancing product development. By expanding its partnerships and feature set, HubBox aims to capture the rising demand for flexible, efficient delivery alternatives.

  • Zero Deposit

    Participated · Equity · Aug 2017

ZeroDeposit is a start-up building an alternative to traditional cash tenancy deposits and the government‑approved tenancy deposit schemes. Tenants pay a non‑refundable sum equivalent to a week’s rent instead of a cash deposit, with an insurance policy that runs for the term of the tenancy and a £25 annual administration fee thereafter. The scheme routes disputes to an independent adjudicator and, if the adjudicator rules for the landlord, monies are passed to the landlord; ZeroDeposit also plans to pay agents referral fees. The company has formed a partnership with insurer Munich Re and secured commercial ties with ZPG, and currently operates a holding page inviting tenants to register interest ahead of a launch expected later in 2017. Management includes founder Jon Notley alongside Simon Embley, Gavin Wiseman and Ben Austin. Financially, ZeroDeposit has received multiple investment rounds totalling £5m to date, including an initial £250,000 investment from ZPG.
