Bacula Systems develops and provides commercial support and services for Bacula, an enterprise backup and restore solution that is 100% open-source, free of license costs and adheres to open standards. The company offers professional services and a commercial distribution around the Bacula software. It is led by Bacula’s author, founder and CEO Kern Sibbald and is headquartered in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland, with offices in the US, the Netherlands, Germany and France. Bacula Systems completed a CHF4.5m (approx. over US$5m) funding and intends to use the proceeds to accelerate its software development program and to grow its sales and channel services. To support those growth plans the company appointed Aristide Carracio as Director of Sales and Marketing and Stephane Schweizer as EMEA Sales and Marketing Manager.
