Mind Palette, founded in 2010 in Tokyo, operates Snapeee, a social photo-sharing service available on iOS and Android. As of July 24, 2014 Snapeee had more than 8.1 million registered users and ranked in the top 10 in the photo category on the iOS App Store and Google Play in 36 countries and territories. It was ranked No.1 in 13 countries and territories including China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. The company said it will use the investment to accelerate customer acquisition region-wide in Asia and to add e-commerce functionality to the platform in the near future. Kodansha described Snapeee as an additional channel to reach female magazine readers, while Global Brain highlighted the service’s appeal rooted in Japanese "kawaii" culture. Following the investment, Global Brain’s Hiroshi Mihayashi joined Mind Palette’s board of directors.

Pocket RD develops automated personal-avatar production (AVATARIUM) and a blockchain-supported NFT marketplace for 3D CG assets (Pocket Collection). AVATARIUM automatically generates and customizes avatars and supports export in standard 3D formats including OBJ, FBX, PLY, glTF, and VRM; it has been integrated with KDDI’s Virtual Shibuya and deployed at event locations. Pocket Collection offers large-scale storage, tools for secondary creation and distribution, project management features, and proprietary digital-rights protection for creators. The company plans to expand functionality, add partners, and link real and virtual experiences across metaverse platforms and industries. To support product development and commercial expansion, Pocket RD secured 450 million yen (~$4M) in third party (Seed B) funding. Pocket RD is pursuing business and capital alliances with major media, telco, and printing partners to scale distribution and content integrations.
