  • Dispatch

    Participated · Series B · Jul 2020

Dispatch operates a B2B last-mile delivery platform combining delivery management software with an on-demand marketplace of independent contractor drivers. Customers request deliveries via a web app and nearby drivers accept and fulfill requests through a mobile app. The company has doubled the size of its team and technology organization since its previous funding round and shipped several new product capabilities. Dispatch reports revenue growth of roughly 175% annually in each of the past two years. With growing supply-chain challenges, the company targets inefficiencies in B2B last-mile delivery, particularly in wholesale industrial supply chains. The new capital is intended to fuel product innovation, national scaling, and additional job creation as Dispatch expands its market footprint. Dispatch operates a B2B marketplace that matches courier drivers with industrial businesses to ship packages locally on demand, with full visibility across the supply chain. The platform is designed to let industrial customers deliver products conveniently on the timeframe they require. Dispatch has seen traction in recent years driven by customer growth and market expansion. The company plans to use its new funding to accelerate that market expansion. It will also focus on team growth, specifically doubling its product and engineering teams. The business narrative emphasizes operational visibility and on-demand local delivery as core product strengths.

  • Waggl, Inc.

    Participated · Series A · May 2018

Waggl offers a real-time listening platform that captures employee voice to surface actionable ideas, collect authentic feedback, and help organizations align around performance goals. Led by CEO and co-founder Michael Papay, the product delivers insights to leaders to ensure employee voices are heard and to encourage engagement through inclusion and transparent dialogue. The company reports usage by more than 300,000 employees across over 100 enterprise-class organizations, including UCHealth, City Electric Supply, Paychex, Ellie Mae, University of Utah, BD, Juniper Networks, McGraw Hill Education and Heineken. Waggl closed approximately $7M in Series A financing and intends to use the funds to accelerate product and business development. The platform focuses on turning employee feedback into actionable outcomes for enterprise customers. Waggl is a San Francisco-based spin-out from Fort Hill Company that offers messaging and polling tools for internal enterprise communication. Executives can post queries to employees, facilitate internal discussion, and use a polling mechanism to determine the best responses. Launched in February, the company has signed up organizations including Sanofi, Kaiser Permanente, and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Waggl raised $1.1 million in seed financing from a group of individual investors. The company says the funding will support product development, platform enhancements, and international customer expansion. Waggl has a partnership with Affero Lab in Brazil to expand its presence in Latin America. Its CEO Michael Papay framed the raise as enabling further development, while the company enters a crowded market competing with players such as Slack, Microsoft-owned Yammer, and Convo.
