Helicap is a Singapore-based fintech active in the private debt and alternative lending space that emphasizes data-driven credit scoring. The company said it will use new funds to expand its business, enhance its proprietary credit scoring technology and explore further solutions in private debt. Helicap registered a fund management subsidiary, Helicap Investments, with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, enabling regulated fund management with up to 30 accredited and institutional investors and SGD 250 million (USD 176 million) of assets under management. It also obtained a capital markets services license through last year’s acquisition of lender Arcor Capital. Helicap has identified Indonesia as a key expansion market and recently appointed Ilham Akbar Habibie as a special advisor and investor to its board to support that effort. The company’s leadership says the new capital will bolster its balance sheet amid the current economic environment.

  Easyship provides a plug-in service that adds international shipping options at checkout, letting retailers offer overseas delivery by connecting to 250+ services from more than 50 couriers. Its platform integrates with marketplaces and storefronts including Amazon, Shopify, eBay, Etsy and Magento. The company says it can cut shipping costs by up to 60%, and its base of about 40,000 SMBs have seen overall sales rise roughly 40% on average. Easyship employs more than 50 people across offices in New York, Singapore, the Netherlands, Australia and Hong Kong. The founders plan to use new funding to develop the company’s routing and cost-optimization technology, add more shipment and logistics partners, and expand customer acquisition efforts—particularly in the U.S. market.
