  • Frontrunner

    Participated · Equity · Dec 2022

Frontrunner is a zero gas-fee, decentralized sports prediction market that lets users buy and sell shares of teams and players across NFL, NBA and Premier League markets using crypto. It presents betting odds like stock prices through a simplified trading interface and plans ETF-style offerings so users can invest in teams, ownership groups and league divisions, with trades settled in stablecoins. The platform is built on Injective, a protocol in the Cosmos ecosystem, and also uses blockchains like Ethereum and Solana as part of a multi-chain vision. Frontrunner launched its testnet last quarter and said it will add the FIFA World Cup 2022 market and expand existing league offerings by the end of the year. The company plans to add social features next year enabling group funds for pooled investing and is pursuing an offshore gaming license in the Isle of Man in Q1 next year to enable legal operation across many jurisdictions. Financially, Frontrunner has raised $4.75M in a funding round led by Susquehanna Private Equity Investments LLP.

MPCH Labs plans to use the new funding for the development and deployment of Fraction, which is scheduled to launch in Q4 of this year. The company is led by CEO Miles Parry and Chief Product & Technology Officer Cat Le-Huy. To date, the company has raised $50M in total funding.

  • DAM

    Participated · Seed · Aug 2022

DAM Finance is a Shanghai-based protocol that creates purchasing power from cross-chain token portfolios through dPRIME, a Dotsama stablecoin on Moonbeam. It enables borrowers to deposit baskets of tokens in a single transaction to mint dPRIME, providing greater flexibility in purchasing-power creation and vault maintenance. The design accommodates a broader range of blockchain-secured assets as collateral. The company raised $1.8M in Pre-Seed funding to accelerate development toward a mainnet launch scheduled for later this year. Backers include DFG, Jsquare, Arrington Capital, Ledgerprime, D1 Ventures, 11-11 Capital, Stacker Ventures and prominent angels within the Dotsama community. Core contributors have backgrounds in enterprise and public blockchains, asset management and data science from firms such as R3, Myria, Fidelity, Oak Hill Capital, EY and IC Group, and the team says protocol risk management will be a major focus.

  • Hashflow

    Participated · Series A · Jul 2022

Hashflow is a decentralized exchange platform built for interoperability, zero slippage, and MEV-protected trades. It connects institutional market makers to traders via a request-for-quote (RFQ) model that guarantees price execution and optimizes for seamless interoperability and MEV protection. The company has launched bridgeless cross-chain swaps and says its model enables trading of structured products and asset classes previously impossible on DeFi rails. Hashflow plans to offer structured products on its platform in allowed jurisdictions later this year and has released a product roadmap for the rest of the year. Founded in San Francisco in 2021, Hashflow raised a $3.2M seed round in April 2021 and recently closed a $25M Series A that values it at $400M. The company says the new capital will let it continue building and scaling its product suite and support professional market makers and liquidity-maximization initiatives. Hashflow is a Santa Monica, Calif.-based decentralized exchange that connects DeFi traders with top crypto market makers, enabling traders to receive price quotes directly and broadcast trades on-chain using Web3 wallets. The platform launched a closed private alpha with market makers offering price quotes on Ethereum mainnet. Hashflow enables market makers to retain control of inventory and pricing by using bespoke pricing strategies bridged on-chain with digital signatures rather than deploying capital in public liquidity pools or relying on pre-defined pricing functions. The company closed a $3.2M seed round and plans to use the funds to expand development efforts. In the coming weeks Hashflow plans to integrate more market makers, add additional asset pairs that dominate on-chain trading volumes, and open the product to general audiences by the end of Q2.

  • Dexilon

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2022

DEXILON is a next-generation decentralized derivatives exchange running a limit order book on a native blockchain built atop the Cosmos SDK. The platform supports launch of derivative contracts for non-crypto assets including metals, energy, soft commodities, and FX, and combines a decentralized matching engine with proprietary oracles. It targets institutional-grade trading with low costs, no gas for traders (gas covered from taker fees), and features designed for market makers. DEXILON has developed an innovative liquidation pool that lets users bid for liquidated positions rather than selling them into the market, intended to reduce flash-crash risk. The company launched a testnet and plans a mainnet launch later the year, and was founded in 2021.
