Founded in July 2024, Qubitcore builds on OIST research to integrate ion-trap quantum processors with micro optical resonators to enable high‑efficiency photon–qubit interfaces and multi-module optical connections. The company aims to realize fault-tolerant quantum computers via a distributed quantum computing architecture and holds an exclusive license with OIST signed in July 2025. Its roadmap targets a cloud-accessible quantum computer prototype operating at OIST in 2026, an Early‑FTQC with error‑correction capabilities by 2028, and a second‑generation multi‑QPU optically connected system by 2029. Qubitcore has strengthened its financial position through a ¥1.53 billion seed round led by SBI Investment, following a pre-seed in January 2025, and plans to deploy funds into R&D, partner/validation activities, and hiring. The company operates its headquarters in Yokohama with R&D facilities and labs based at OIST in Okinawa.

VISION IV is a technology company focused on leveraging diamond materials to advance quantum sensing, radiation detection, and semiconductor devices. Its core offerings already include a second-generation diamond anvil and B-doped diamond substrates, and the firm has built a complete evaluation cycle for diamond-based radiation sensors. Backed by approximately ¥300 million (≈US$2 million) in seed capital, the company has expanded research facilities, introduced new equipment, and increased laboratory space to accelerate R&D. VISION IV collaborates with the University of Tokyo and Hiroshima University on crystal quality, large-scale equipment deployment, and AI-driven defect inspection. Near-term priorities center on moving prototypes to full commercialization, securing additional joint-research grants, and deepening partnerships and purchase agreements with major corporations. Looking ahead, management intends to raise a Series A round, strengthen its team structure, and invest in capabilities that enable larger-scale, high-purity, and mass production of diamond devices.

Nutrix develops CortiSense, a CES‑awarded device that measures cortisol in saliva and integrates with its gSense digital health platform (which includes continuous glucose monitoring, AI dietary management and telemedicine). The company pivoted its hardware roadmap toward CortiSense while maintaining an initial clinical focus on diabetes and other chronic diseases. CortiSense was developed with support from the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland and the device launch has been used to kick off a U.S. rollout. Nutrix has operations launched in Mexico and Peru and its gSense platform is integrated with Chile’s public insurance system. The startup has received support from the Swiss innovation agency Innosuisse and private investors and plans to use funding to study cortisol’s links to women’s health, including perimenopause and menopause. With backing from Mayo Clinic, Nutrix is planning U.S. expansion and to open offices in Silicon Valley while preparing for a larger Series A.
