Overview
Linearis Ventures is pioneering and supporting discoveries to prevent, detect and cure diseases through direct investments in innovative life sciences companies. Linearis brings together a team of seasoned experts in biomarker discovery, drug development, BioPharma executives, healthcare innovators, the co-father of modern AI and winner of the A.M. Turing Prize, Dr Yoshua Bengio as well as the curator of the Human Metabolome Database, Dr David Wishart. To fundamentally transform our healthcare systems and improve patient care, we must provide novel, non-invasive and easily accessible modalities for better diagnosis, prediction of health status, optimization of treatments and monitoring. Integrated into the VC fund, Linearis Labs' AI-driven differentiating offering is unique in generating disease signatures tailored to elucidate causal relationships underlying human omics and diseases. Its omic signature AI-tailored approach to cancer, diabetes, infectious diseases, NASH and other chronic diseases will accelerate discovery and commercialize new innovative medicines to improve patient care and outcomes.

Noetik is an AI-native biotechnology company that combines self-supervised machine learning with high-throughput spatial omics and in vivo CRISPR perturbation to discover precision cancer therapies. Its discovery platform pairs human multimodal spatial omics data purpose-built for machine learning with a massively multiplexed in vivo CRISPR Perturb-Map system to train foundation models of tissue and tumor biology. The company has built one of the world’s largest spatial omics-based atlases of human cancer biology and trains multi-modal cancer foundation models such as OCTO. Proceeds from the recent Series A will be used to expand the atlas, scale Perturb-Map throughput, and increase training of its models. Noetik plans to leverage these platform capabilities to advance an innovative pipeline of cancer therapeutics candidates into the clinic and to establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, health care providers, and pharmaceutical companies. The company is based in San Francisco and recently appointed Shafique Virani as Chief Business Officer to lead partnering efforts. Noetik has built a multimodal tissue profiling platform that combines self-supervised learning with spatial biology to address fundamental problems in cancer immunology. In under 12 months of operations the company has generated hundreds of terabytes of human data across genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics to enable foundation models for cell and tissue biology. The company plans to use transformer-based machine learning methods applied to this internal data stack to accelerate target and therapeutics discovery. The recent funding will support substantial internal data generation efforts and continued development of those ML methods. Proceeds will also be used to expand Noetik’s team in machine learning, computational biology, and cancer immunology. Noetik is based in San Francisco and is led by CEO Ron Alfa, with founding leaders including CTO Lacey Padron and CSO Jacob Rinaldi.
