Atlas Powered offers a mobile platform that unifies existing calendar, task and contact data to enable cross-platform collaboration through an action center and communication hub. The app lets users schedule or assign items across systems from a single user interface. The company, co‑founded in 2011 by CEO Hunter Gray and President Michel Bayan and based in Santa Monica, CA, is focused on iOS and Android. Atlas closed a $700K funding round to accelerate development and commercialization of the Atlas app. It planned a private beta for iOS and Android in February, followed by a full public beta within the coming months. In conjunction with the funding, Yuri Pikover of Tech Coast Angels joined Atlas’ Board of Directors.

TranscribeMe provides a speech-to-text platform that leverages speech-recognition algorithms and crowd-sourced transcribers working around the world to convert audio and video into searchable and shareable text. The service integrates with Evernote, Livescribe and select VoIP providers. Its customer base includes medical professionals, corporations, conferences, writers, podcasters and academics. Led by CEO Alexei Dunayev, the company operates out of Emeryville, CA; Auckland, New Zealand; and Singapore. TranscribeMe raised $900K in angel funding and has now raised $1.5M to date. The company intends to use the new funding to continue to grow.
