Bulu Box operates a discovery ecommerce platform that allows consumers to sample and find vitamins, supplements and healthy snacks while returning actionable data to brands. Its Bulu Insights software aggregates data from consumer sample surveys, user profiles and purchase behavior to provide companies with actionable insights. Users of Bulu Insights can view customer psychographics, track sampling programs and anonymously compare products against industry benchmarks. The company works with brand partners including Shapeology Nutrition, Quest Nutrition and Neocell. Founded in 2012 by CMO Stephanie Jarrett and CEO Paul Jarrett and based in Lincoln, Nebraska, Bulu Box focuses on growing its data and sampling business. It recently secured funding to support expansion of Bulu Insights. Bulu Box sells monthly subscription boxes of premium supplements, weight-loss and nutrition product samples to customers in all 50 U.S. states. The company partners with established nutritional brands such as Shapeology Nutrition, Naturade, NeoCell and PowerBar to source samples. Launched in June 2012 by CEO Paul Jarrett and based in Lincoln, Nebraska, Bulu Box has focused on discovery ecommerce and sampling as its core product. In the past year the company increased monthly revenue by 750%, implemented a rewards points program and introduced ROI sampling technology. The business plans to use recent funding to enable key hires, enhance customer acquisition channels and support product development. Those initiatives are intended to scale its subscription and sampling operations. Bulu Box provides subscribers with vitamins and supplement samples via a monthly $10 subscription box. For $10 per month, members receive premium samples from brands such as Cellucor, FSI Nutrition, Nightfood and Pure Matters. Members are encouraged to join a social community to share insights, experiences and tips about sampled products. The company launched in June 2012 and is based in Lincoln, NE; its service remains in beta. Bulu Box closed a $500K Series A and intends to use the funds to grow and expand the brand and execute long-term strategies. The company was co-founded by Paul Jarrett and Stephanie Jarrett.
