  Nevia Bio (formerly Gina Life) applies machine learning to proprietary protein-panel measurements from vaginal swabs to identify biomarker signatures for early and late-stage women’s diseases, notably ovarian cancer. The platform decodes information from vaginal secretions and links a novel biobank to a digital database to enable ML-driven feature identification. Since commencing activity in 2020, the company has run clinical trials and assembled a biobank of more than 900 vaginal-secretion samples from diverse populations and disease states. Nevia plans to use its recent funding to support clinical trials in ovarian cancer, expand its pipeline to additional indications in women’s health, and enhance its data science capabilities. The team is led by Dr. Inbal Zafir-Lavie and Dr. Shlomit Yehudai-Reshef. The company is based in Haifa, Israel.
