- Cybersixgill
Led · Series B · Mar 2022
Cybersixgill provides real-time, fully automatic threat intelligence solutions that collect and extract data from social media, instant messaging, and the clear, deep and dark web. Its platform creates contextual threat and risk intelligence to help organizations proactively detect and protect against phishing, data leaks, fraud, malware, and vulnerability exploitation. The company says its solutions enable preemptive security responses that enhance cyber resilience and minimize risk exposure in real time. Cybersixgill serves hundreds of customers across North America, EMEA, and APAC, including global enterprises, financial institutions, MSSPs, government and law enforcement agencies. It raised $35M in a Series B and plans to use the funds to continue product innovation, expand its global footprint, and grow sales and marketing. The company has raised a total of $56M to date. Sixgill develops a platform that automatically monitors deep and dark web forums and marketplaces to identify threats relevant to its clients. The company offers access via a SaaS platform or on-premises deployments and also provides access to its internal analysts for customers without in-house staff. Sixgill’s technology uses advanced automation and artificial intelligence to deliver contextual intelligence and integrates with security orchestration tools. Its current customer base mostly comprises large enterprises, law enforcement and other government agencies, and other security providers. The company plans to expand its geographic footprint across North America, EMEA, and APAC and to broaden product capabilities, including a Dynamic CVE Rating. According to Crunchbase, Sixgill has raised $21 million in total funding to date. Sixgill offers a cyber-intelligence platform that crawls the Dark Web and uses proprietary algorithms and big-data analysis to create profiles and patterns of hidden users and social networks. The platform claims to identify sensitive data leaks, illegal marketplaces, and to warn of potential physical attacks on organizations and individuals. Sixgill provides real-time alerts intended to give clients a heads-up before attacks or leaks occur. Typical clients include banks, government defence departments, and intelligence agencies. Key members of the team are former officials from Israel’s intelligence unit. The company announced a public launch alongside a new funding round to further develop its technology.
