Blackbullion is a financial-wellbeing platform that delivers digital financial education and a proprietary Funds Management System to help students develop money skills and access scholarships and other funds. Its platform is deployed by over 50 universities, colleges, and higher-education organizations across the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa. Over 1.2 million students have access to the platform, and 92% of users report increased financial confidence. To date, university partners have awarded £10 million to almost 15,000 students through Blackbullion’s Funds Management System. The company plans to scale product development, build fund-specific features, pursue an ambitious hiring plan, and further integrate The Scholarship Hub following its acquisition this spring. Vivi Friedgut is the founder and CEO. Blackbullion offers an online learning platform designed to develop students' financial literacy for life, delivered free to learners. The company partners with universities in the UK, Australia and New Zealand to support recruitment and access initiatives. Founded by Vivi Friedgut in 2014 and based in London, Blackbullion currently reaches over 500,000 students. It raised a £400K post-seed round and has £1m in total funding to date. The startup intends to use the new funds for product development and to expand its existing university-focused solutions. Lord Stanley Fink will join the board as Chairman as part of the round.
