Loop Robots develops smart robots that automate room and surface disinfection to deliver medical-grade sanitization. Founded in 2020, the company was created by Per Slycke, Maarten Sluyter, Mark van de Vrede, and Aswin Chandarr alongside talent from earlier TU Delft robot spinouts. Its solutions are targeted at hospitals, care homes, laboratories and logistics partners and the company lists clients and partners including Spaarne Gasthuis, Rijnstate, Pieter van Foreest, Public Health Laboratory Kennemerland, UZ Gent, University Medical Center Groningen, G4S and Deutsche Post DHL. Loop Robots has been named one of the most promising AI startups/scaleups in the Netherlands and was selected for NVIDIA's Inception program. In September 2021 the company raised $2.0M in a Seed round. The proceeds are intended to accelerate deployment of its automated room and surface disinfection co-bots for hospitals.
