- Bourn
Participated · Equity · Dec 2025
Bourn has built the Flexible Trade Account (FTA), a modern working-capital product that combines payments, current-account functionality and instant, secured credit for small and medium-sized enterprises. Powered by real-time data feeds and an AI-driven risk engine, the FTA allows businesses to pay suppliers, manage cash flow and fund growth without taking on additional balance-sheet debt. The solution is delivered through integrations with banks such as NatWest and Investec as well as ERP systems, accounting platforms and B2B marketplaces, embedding finance directly into familiar software. Bourn plans to deepen its account functionality, broaden its network of financial-services and platform partners, and bring capital directly into the systems businesses already use. The newly raised capital will also support team expansion. By focusing on embedded finance and data-driven underwriting, the company aims to become a core infrastructure layer for SME working capital.
