Overview

To rapidly deliver solutions that meet the imperatives of the IT era-that's the Net One Systems commitment. With that in mind, we have made the mainstay network integration operation in which we have amassed vast experience and expertise the core of our activities and established four integration business sectors: Network Integration, Network Computing, Service Integration, and Media Integration. Through these four business sectors and the efficient interplay of the solutions that underpin them, we will provide information systems adapted to the individual needs and activities of client companies. Network Integration (NI) Operation In network construction, what is required above all is to implement a smooth traffic environment and deliver stable performance. Focusing on high-end router switching, the Network Integration Operation constructs and deploys efficient network infrastructure. The NI Operation capitalizes on the technological expertise and foresight cultivated since the company was founded to support clients' new business models. Network Computing (NC) Operation The role of the Network Computing Operation is to dependably and rapidly implement applications used in the fast-developing Internet environment and e-commerce fields. Deploying solutions that make the most of leading-edge technologies such as traffic management and QoS, the NC Operation engages in such activities as installing and servicing evolving applications platforms, including security products and multimedia applications. We provide powerful support for expanding e-business environments. Service Integration (SI) Operation Everything from equipment selection at the time of network construction to design, construction, operation, maintenance and management-the Service Integration Operation provides fully integrated, end-to-end support for client networks. On the basis of providing protection around the clock, 365 days a year, we guarantee a reliable network environment by undertaking transaction monitoring, traffic management, and faulty equipment repair. What's more, we also contribute to reducing operating costs by supporting traffic analysis and customer billing environments. The SI Operation provides services that truly meet client needs. Media Integration (MI) Operation Transmission line media are the most basic element of networks. Attendant on the rapid spread of business environments that utilize multimedia content, the construction of transmission line media tailored to client usage requirements has become an urgent task. For this reason, the Media Integration Operation provides across-the-board integration through every stage from design to installation of transmission line media that support diversifying sophisticated network infrastructure such as CATV and mobile communication devices.

  • Apigee

    Participated · Equity · Dec 2011

Apigee provides an API platform and a big-data analytics product to help enterprises manage APIs and monetize the data flowing in and out of their systems. The company positions itself as the largest standalone provider of API management services. It has bolstered its analytics capabilities through acquisitions, including InsightsOne, one of four acquisitions since its 2004 launch. Apigee has significant enterprise traction and competes in a space where rivals Mashery and Layer 7 were recently acquired. With its latest financing the company has accumulated $171 million in total capital invested. Management says a public offering could come within the next year. Apigee offers a platform for creating, managing and measuring digital initiatives built on apps, data and APIs, with flagship products Apigee Enterprise, Apigee Insights and the Apigee API Exchange. The product portfolio has expanded to address integrated mobile and data-driven use cases and to power app ecosystems across industries. The company says 20% of the Fortune 100 and over 10% of the Global 100 are Apigee customers, and lists customers including Walgreens, eBay, Shell, Live Nation, Bechtel, Marks & Spencer and Vodafone. Apigee will use the new financing to grow global sales and marketing and to accelerate expansion of the Apigee platform. The company positions itself to help organizations deploy comprehensive digital strategies for the mobile and app economy. Apigee is headquartered in Palo Alto, California. Apigee is a well-funded enterprise company that provides an API management platform. The company revealed it accepted a highly strategic investment from In-Q-Tel, though deal details and the amount were deliberately kept under wraps. Apigee said it was “thrilled” about the investment and looks forward to expanding its relationship with In-Q-Tel and its government partners. The team views the investment as a sign that its API management product will become more of a priority in Washington D.C. In-Q-Tel is the investment arm of the CIA and is widely treated as a “stamp of approval” that can open large government markets. The article highlights that In-Q-Tel-backed companies have gained government customers, suggesting potential market-access benefits for Apigee. Apigee builds an API management platform with a growing focus on mobile backends and developer services. The company has been expanding via acquisitions, including mobile cloud platform Usergrid in January and the assets and personnel behind the Wholesale Applications Community (WAC) the week prior. Apigee powers integrations such as a “print to Walgreens” feature in mobile photo apps and is adding analytics functionality, with a new analytics product slated to debut this summer. CEO Chet Kapoor emphasizes a “mobile first” market trend and Apigee’s role providing scalable backends for developers and enterprises. The company plans to expand into new markets, ramp up sales and marketing outside the U.S. (notably Europe and Asia), and open additional offices to support that growth. Apigee is a Palo Alto–based provider of API products and technology for enterprises and developers. Enterprises use Apigee for visibility, control and scale of their API strategies, while developers use it to learn, explore and develop API-based applications. More than 250 enterprises, including Comcast, GameSpy, TransUnion Interactive, Guardian Life and Constant Contact, and thousands of developers use Apigee's technology. According to a filing with the SEC, Apigee has raised $7 million in fresh capital. The company is backed by Norwest Venture Partners, Bay Partners, SAP Ventures, Juniper Networks, Net One Systems and Third Point Management Company. A total of 18 separate investors participated in the offering, per the filing.

The company is led by President and CEO Vikash Varma and is based in Santa Clara, CA. Stoke received a US$5M strategic investment from Samsung Venture Investment Corporation to support its growth in the worldwide LTE market. The article identifies the investment as strategic but does not specify instrument details beyond that. Stoke is backed by venture capital firms and carriers including Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Sequoia Capital, Focus Ventures, and NTT Docomo. No revenue, user metrics, or prior round financial amounts are disclosed in the article. Stoke, founded in 2004 and headquartered in Santa Clara, California, designs and manufactures systems and hardware for mobile communications infrastructure. Its products support 3G, 4G and Wi‑Fi carrier networks and are designed to improve speeds and make networks more secure. The company’s hardware targets bandwidth efficiency as carriers face rapid growth in connected mobile devices and mobile data traffic. Keating Capital noted industry demand for 4G/LTE and Wi‑Fi over the next 5–10 years and said Stoke is well positioned to take advantage of that growth. Financially, the most recent transaction was a $3.5 million secondary purchase of common shares by Keating Capital from certain Stoke employees; Stoke did not issue new securities or receive new capital. Keating was the sole investor in the transaction and joins existing preferred-stock holders Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Sequoia Capital and Docomo Capital as investors in Stoke. Stoke builds mobile broadband infrastructure solutions that provide 3G and LTE capabilities and help network operators transition to 4G.
