- Cohere
Participated · Series D · Sep 2025
Cohere builds enterprise-grade AI and large language model capabilities with a platform designed for deployment across public clouds, private environments, and on-premises infrastructure. The company has raised roughly $1.6 billion from investors such as Nvidia, AMD Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, Oracle, Cisco, Radical Ventures, Inovia Capital, and PSP Investments. Cohere announced plans to merge with Aleph Alpha to create a transatlantic sovereign AI provider anchored in Germany and Canada, with deployment of the sovereign offering on STACKIT, Schwarz Digits’ cloud infrastructure. The merger and the $600 million structured financing commitment from Schwarz Group are aimed at serving governments and regulated industries seeking AI sovereignty. Both Cohere and Aleph Alpha were founded in 2019, and the combined entity is positioned to offer an alternative to dominant US-based AI providers.

Meisterwerk App is a Berlin-based platform that digitizes and coordinates workflows for craft businesses, making project information available on mobile and desktop. The app maps the entire value chain—including quotation, invoicing and personnel management—and enables users to document work with photos, track hours, fill forms and exchange messages. It serves over 600 craft businesses across the DACH region. The company will use the €6M Series A to further develop and optimise its digital solutions and support DACH expansion, aiming to become the central operating system for craft businesses in Europe. Meisterwerk says it will go beyond standard ERP systems by adding bespoke financial solutions and advanced AI automation to streamline operations and financial management. The business was founded at the end of 2018 by Bertram Wildenauer and Nick Sonnenberg, who combine craft experience with digital product expertise.
