Today, over 2,000 organisations across the UK and Europe use Cerve’s infrastructure, including retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers and producers. The company plans to accelerate commercial expansion across the UK, Europe and North America and to strengthen its R&D capabilities. Hiring additional engineering, product and technical support teams is a stated priority for the use of funds. The company is led by founder and CEO Dan Mazig (with David Walker noted as CCO). Cerve is a Sweden-based food tech startup offering an infrastructure platform that automates wholesalers' sales operations. Its platform integrates with a wholesaler's ERP to digitize processes and provide a more tailored buying experience for B2B buyers. The company targets food and beverage wholesalers that remain dependent on manual processes and legacy backend systems, a problem highlighted during the pandemic and in the post-COVID digitization push. Cerve has raised a $2 million seed round, reflecting its current early-stage financing status. The seed was led by Orkla Ventures, with MP Pensjon and nFront Ventures joining the cap table. Daniel Holth Larsen of Orkla Ventures said Cerve 'hits the nail on the head' with its proven value proposition and looks forward to supporting the team on their journey.
