To date, the company has sold more than 400 vehicles to 39 transit agencies across 20 states, demonstrating growing market traction. Proterra operates manufacturing facilities in South Carolina and Los Angeles, with research and development centered at its Silicon Valley headquarters. Recent capital infusions are being directed toward expanding production capacity at these plants and accelerating R&D initiatives. Led by CEO Ryan Popple, the firm continues to scale operations to meet increasing demand for clean public transportation solutions. The company most recently secured $55 million in Series 6 funding following an oversubscribed $140 million Series 5 round earlier in the year.
