The platform uses open and proven technologies to configure architectures near sensors or cameras in remote locations, targeting industries such as shipping, energy, utilities, defense, and smart buildings/cities. Pratexo positions itself as an ‘agile edge architect’ that recommends, simulates, and stands up resilient, secure configurations, simplifying and speeding development for architects and DevOps teams. The company completed a $3.5M Seed round to accelerate platform development and go-to-market efforts. Management says the funding will be used to expand efforts across North America and Europe and advance the state of the art in edge computing. The company also announced seven new advisory-board members, most of whom are investors, to support its growth and strategy.
