  • Databricks

    Participated · Series I · Sep 2023

Databricks operates a cloud data platform and AI products, with its core cloud data warehouse generating $1.5 billion of its annualized run-rate revenue and growing 100% year-over-year. The company reported a $7 billion annualized run-rate revenue figure while growing at roughly 80% and being cash-flow positive. Databricks launched Lakebase in June 2025, which has reached a $100 million revenue run-rate, and its AI chatbot tool Genie is described as highly popular. The company maintains a roughly 100-person AI research team and faces multi-billion-dollar cloud commitments with major hyperscalers. Databricks has been active on the M&A front, acquiring companies including Electric (PGlite) and AI cybersecurity firm Panther, and it says it plans to continue investing in AI and acquisitions while remaining open to a future IPO.

  • Monzo

    Participated · Equity · Feb 2021

Monzo, still operating under the beta-stage name Mondo, is building a full-stack, mobile-first bank that currently issues a prepaid Mastercard linked to an iOS app. The app lets users track spending in real time, view geolocated transactions on a map, categorise purchases, and transfer money to other Monzo users. With an open API and several well-attended hackathons, the company is positioning its in-house technology as a key differentiator from legacy banks. Monzo has a 52,000-person waiting list and will ship the first 1,000 cards this week, with thousands more to follow as part of its public beta. The team says the product reflects only 20 % of the functionality planned once a full banking licence is obtained. Future roadmap items include Apple Pay integration, bill splitting, automated loyalty point redemption, and expansion to other European markets. To date the company has raised about £8 million: £7 million from Passion Capital across two investments and £1 million from an equity crowdfunding campaign.

  • Udaan

    Participated · Series D · Jan 2021

Udaan operates a B2B marketplace linking manufacturers and wholesalers to small retailers across categories including electronics, groceries, pharmaceuticals, and general merchandise. The company says it serves more than three million small retailers and is estimated to account for roughly 70 percent of India's B2B ecommerce market by volume. Founded in 2016 by three former Flipkart engineers, Vaibhav Gupta became CEO in 2021 while co-founder Sujeet Kumar remains on the board. Udaan has faced recent financial strain, including a default on $170 million in convertible notes that matured on June 30, and has pursued multiple funding rounds to shore up its finances. It raised $75 million in February 2025 and a $114 million Series G in June 2025 that valued the company at under $2 billion, down from a prior $3 billion peak. The company is pursuing a balance-sheet restructuring and new capital to stabilize its finances ahead of an anticipated IPO within the next two years.
