GigaComm designs and builds an independent, technology-led telecommunications network that it controls, bypassing the NBN to deliver ultra-fast, reliable gigabit connectivity. The company was formed in 2018 and offers consumer speeds from over 200Mbps up to 1000Mbps, claiming up to 10x faster on its 1000/50Mbps plan versus the Australian average. GigaComm markets consumer plans such as 200Mbps download/50Mbps upload for $79 per month and provides symmetrical 1Gbps plans with locally based, priority business support for enterprises. The network has already surpassed 100,000 premises passed in NSW and Victorian inner-city suburbs. Proceeds from the recent raise will be used to expand network infrastructure and connect residential and business customers in those areas and to enter new markets including Brisbane and Canberra. The company and its investors also emphasize digital inclusion, with plans to deliver the network to social and affordable housing residents.
