IMT SpA is a Casalecchio di Reno, Bologna-based manufacturer of hydraulic drill rigs and grinding machines. The company was formed by the merger of four firms—Morava and De.Ci.Ma (which merged in 2006), Tacchella Macchine, Meccanodora and Favretto. IMT employs 400 people and forecasted revenue of €85m for 2011. It intends to use proceeds from the investment to continue consolidating the sector, which is recovering after the 2008–2009 crisis, and to pursue growth opportunities.
