Founded in 2017, Melbourne-based EatClub operates a marketplace app that lets restaurants post real-time, discounted offers during off-peak periods, enticing diners while improving venue utilisation. More than 5,000 Australian venues are on the platform, including over 1,700 in Victoria and a similar number in New South Wales. The company entered the U.K. in 2024 and now counts around 1,000 restaurants there as customers. Legendary chef Marco Pierre White was an early backer, lending both capital and culinary credibility. EatClub survived the Covid-19 downturn in hospitality and has since accelerated growth. Media reports indicate its valuation has doubled to about US$200 million following the latest round. The new capital will fund further expansion in Britain and other international markets.
