Vim is a technology company that connects data to workflow at health care’s "last mile": within clinical operations at the point of patient care. Its modular products—Quality Gaps, Diagnosis Gaps, Referral Guidance, and Digital Scheduling—integrate with existing clinical systems to support value-based care programs. Vim’s solutions are used by leading health plans, providers, and pharmacies to reduce burden and improve quality, experience, and total cost of care. The company emphasizes point-of-care integrations and data-aligned workflows to enable real-time decision support for clinicians and plan-provider alignment. Vim plans to accelerate rollout of its point-of-care integration technology and continue commercial growth across health plan and provider groups. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in San Francisco, Vim positions itself to power affordable, high-quality health care through seamless connectivity. Vim provides a platform that helps health plans and care providers collaborate to promote affordable, convenient, high-quality care by helping doctors choose the right providers and guiding patients to optimal providers via online booking. The platform is powered by collective intelligence from health care data and human expertise and delivers actionable insights to providers. Vim says it already has access to 10,000,000 lives and 150,000 providers through major health plan partners. The company will use new funding to fuel rapid expansion into new U.S. markets and to accelerate product development and hiring. Vim’s proposition centers on reducing the complexity of navigating the health care system and aligning stakeholders around value-based care.

  • EveryMove

    Participated · Series A · May 2012

EveryMove offers a lifestyle-based rewards program that links devices and applications capturing users' healthy activities and converts that data into rewards from brands, employers and health care providers. The company has partnered with MyFitnessPal, Endomondo and Precor (Preva) to enable activity tracking and point-earning across apps and fitness equipment. Rewards partners include Blue Nile, Cabela’s, Hotel Monaco and ESPN. EveryMove launched an Android version of its application on the Android Play Store. Led by CEO Russell Benaroya and based in Seattle, the company recently raised $3.5M in Series A-1 financing. It plans to use the funds to expand its market presence nationally and increase marketing activities. EveryMove offers an interactive web and mobile platform that passively collects lifestyle data from health apps, devices, and platforms to connect users with rewards and incentives from plans, employers, and brands. The company emphasizes consumer control and data portability so information is not tied to an employer or insurer. It intends to monetize on a cost-per-action basis by taking a fee when users redeem rewards, positioning itself as a marketplace intermediary. EveryMove has been working closely with Premera Blue Cross on customer development and sees long-term opportunity in lifestyle analytics to inform company decisions. The startup is an alum of TechStars’ Seattle accelerator and is currently in private beta. It plans to use the Series A capital to ramp up its team and prepare for a broader market launch in the third quarter.
