  • SUiCTE

    Led · Seed · Feb 2026

SUiCTE is a deep-tech spin-out from Shizuoka University that designs and manufactures radiation-hardened CMOS/CCD image sensors and camera modules optimized for space applications. Leveraging university research achievements, the company targets the rapidly growing small-satellite market, where dependence on costly, import-based sensors remains high. Its technology emphasizes ultra-high sensitivity, high speed, wide dynamic range, and robust radiation resistance, aiming to replace foreign components with domestically produced alternatives. SUiCTE plans to use the space sector as a beachhead before expanding its sensing devices into factory automation and other industrial fields. With the fresh capital, it will accelerate R&D, prototype production, and proof-of-concept trials with domestic and international space companies, while hiring additional engineering talent. Founded on 1 Aug 2024 and headquartered in Hamamatsu, the firm positions itself as a national champion for next-generation sensing infrastructure. No revenue or user metrics were disclosed in the press release.

  • Rayout

    Led · Series A · Oct 2025

Founded in April 2019, Tokyo-based Rayout positions itself as a “Creative PMO,” embedding project managers who understand both business strategy and creative execution inside client organizations. Its core consulting offering covers branding, PR, production, and progress management, eliminating the multilayer subcontracting structures that often inflate project management costs. Complementing the service arm, the company launched CheckBack in 2023, a cloud platform that lets teams review, share, and approve videos, web assets, graphics, and documents; more than 5,000 teams have already adopted the tool. To date Rayout has supported over 500 companies across 2,300 projects, underscoring strong market traction. The firm plans to expand CheckBack’s “progress AI” features—such as automated review workflows, guideline enforcement, and feedback reuse—and to grow its PMO workforce. Including the latest round, it has raised approximately ¥184 million in equity financing. Raised capital will be directed toward product development, marketing, and headcount expansion aimed at accelerating CheckBack’s growth.

  • Pittan

    Participated · Series A · Aug 2024

PITTAN builds noninvasive sweat-component analysis technology and currently offers a mail-in analysis service that lets users send sweat samples to its lab for evaluation. The company has partnerships with skincare brands, esthetic salons, and fitness gyms and has been expanding a B2B2C business model. PITTAN operates a lab in Kobe and has focused on creating low-cost, low-burden testing compared with blood or urine analysis. The team is developing a portable on-site analyzer designed to deliver results in about 15 minutes to enable immediate, location-based use. Management says the portable device will support expansion into skin care, esthetics, supplements, fitness, and health-device channels. The company emphasizes noninvasive regular monitoring to drive personalized wellness and preventive-health behavior change.
