Buddyfit provides an on-demand "personal trainer anywhere, anytime" service delivering fitness and wellness content. The company plans to expand beyond fitness into other wellness segments with the aim of becoming a reference service in the wellness field. Management states its mission is to help millions stay healthy while having fun, addressing rising obesity and physical inactivity. The new capital will be used to accelerate international expansion and to double the team to about 100 employees. Financially, Buddyfit completed a €10 million Series A and, since May 2019, has raised just shy of €18 million in total. The company is based in Genoa and is led by co-founder and CEO Giovanni Ciferri.
